Description[]One of the smallest craft serving in the NTSC, the Squire Class Escort (and Guardian Class Escort) is assigned to help protect capital warships. It has no anti-ship weapons of its own, but its point defense firepower is akin to that seen on cruisers. It these turrets to help its charge defend against short range spacecraft as well as enemy torpedoes and boarding actions. Like all Terran ships it has shields, making it potentially more durable than most other escorts, though its hull strength leaves something to be desired.
